Despite the creation of the Ontarians with Disabilities Act and the Ontario Human Rights Commission reports, neglect for users of transit who have a disability is still an issue that arises across Canada. This can vary from mechanical failures, lack of safety inspections and neglectful transit operators.
Knowing your rights or the rights of an individual you are supporting is important. Every year the rate of disabilities in Canada increases and by being knowledgeable you can help lead transit to a safer, more respectful and inclusive environment.

To tackle this problem a brochure and a digitally published version were made to assist those in need of assistance or those who assist people with disabilities to understand their rights.
